Play partially downloaded mp4

Now, while you are downloading the movies, wouldn't it be great if you can preview it, check out its quality and then decide if you want to continue the download? We all know that VLC is a versatile media player that can play almost any media format you throw to it.

Well, another thing that you can get it to do is to repair and playback the partially downloaded video. Open your VLC and load the video file. It will automatically detect that this is broken file and will prompt you to repair it. For instance, it can open broken avi files. You won't be able to play anything until you have all the pieces and reassemble the complete file. It's not possible to play the individual chunks because of the way the splitting is done.
